Well, folks, what a day!! We had a cyanotype workshop run by Sarah Garrod, a plant dyes talk from Liz Lowe and a Big City Bug Hunt run by Lula Wattam of Capital Growth and Millie Barnes of GCDA. Of course, there was plenty of cake; thank you to all our brilliant bakers - you know who you are! The sun shone and everyone was in great spirits. It was lovely to see lots of new faces and great to see so many old friends. What could be better on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Spring? We had over 70 people through the garden during the event and many of you have signed up to hear more from us in future. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you are all the better for spending a bit of time in nature!
Remember that we are open every Friday from 10:30am to 3pm for volunteers and the public.
Our community space is available for FREE to local community groups in the borough so if you'd like to enjoy it with your group, feel free to get in touch.
SAVE THE DATE: Our next Open Day is on Sunday 7 June 2-6pm. We will be raising money for the wonderful Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice as part of their annual Open Gardens Festival. More details here
We promise that there will be plants for sale!
Here are a few photos of the day. Enjoy.
